Hi, I'm Christa.
I have spent more than 20 years in accounting and bookkeeping, and I know how much time and energy the financial side of a business can take.
I started Balancing Life Bookkeeping to give business owners dependable, organized books without adding more to their plate. You will always know who is working on your books, and you will always get a real answer.

FAQ
Common questions
How is my price determined?
Your monthly price is based on your average number of transactions each month, how many bank and credit card accounts you use, and any add on services you choose. After your discovery call, you get a flat monthly price with no surprises.
Will I ever be charged additional fees?
Only for projects you request that are outside your agreed monthly bookkeeping. You will always know the price before any work begins.
If your business grows and your monthly transactions increase, we will talk it through together before anything changes.
1099 preparation is included when all W9s are received by December 31. A small fee applies for W9s received after that date, as outlined in your agreement.
Is there a setup fee?
Yes. A one time onboarding fee, equal to one month of bookkeeping, covers getting you set up: reviewing your QuickBooks, customizing your chart of accounts, and connecting your accounts. Cleanup of past months is quoted separately.
Do I need QuickBooks Online?
Yes. All bookkeeping is done in QuickBooks Online. If you are not set up yet, I can set it up for you.
Do you prepare tax returns?
No. I keep your books tax ready and work alongside your CPA, who prepares your return.
How do we stay in touch?
Mostly by email, with a phone call when it is easier to talk it through. When a transaction needs your input, you get a clear, simple question.
Is my information secure?
Yes. Logins are shared through a secure password manager, never by email or text.
What if my books are behind?
That is common. Cleanup is quoted after your discovery call, then monthly bookkeeping begins.
